  • STEAM Junction is a Makerspace in the heart of historic Downtown Burlington NC. We are open to members, Elon University Students, and also offer day-passes for non-members to use some of our tools We are equipped with CNC Routers, 3D Printers, Laser Cutter, Sewing Machines, Electronics Lab, Woodworking/Metalworking tools, Crafting tools, Vinyl Cutters, HP Sprout Design Computer, and other creative tools and facilities. We also offer a store with unique hand-made items made by our members and made locally as well as a classroom for field trips, after school programs, adult classes, summer programs, and more. We offer 80/20 consignment on the store, 50/50 profit sharing on instruction in our classroom, and help with new small business startups. We also offer professional services like graphic design, technical drawing, CNC Routing, Laser Cutting, 3D Printing, Prototyping, etc.

    We have core hours of 1:00pm to 7:00pm M-F and 11:00am to 8:00pm on Saturdays. We are open to members and for workshops and classes at other times (members can reserve time in advance outside of core hours)

    We are also the home to the Alamance Makers Guild and host their monthly free open meetings with talks, as well as interest group meetings for Micro controllers, STEM Education, Entrepreneurship, and Teen/Youth group. We are also HQ for the production of the Burlington Mini Maker Faire
