The goal of Erie Makerspace is yet to be fully defined. While each member has their own projects, the group as a whole comes together on occasion for larger projects that may have bigger social or community impact.
If you want to learn more just stop by one of our meetings on Wednesday at 6pm in the Union Station building.
Like what you see? Memberships are available in 2 sizes; full member, and supporting.
If the door is open just come on in!
(Keep an eye on this facebook page for any changes to the meeting schedule, and occasionally a meeting will be pushed back.)
We’re also looking for donors/sponsors to help fund our organization.
Erie Makerspace is a non-discriminatory organization and open to all ages, races, and genders.
A more technical look at what a makerspace is and does:
A makerspace (or hackerspace) is a community workshop club and physical space where members share tools, materials, resources, ideas and effort. It’s also a place for socialising and having fun.
What do people do in a makerspace?
Share – Space, tools, materials, resources, ideas and effort.
Collaborate – Work with other like minded people.
Create – Make fun and interesting things.
Learn – Ask questions and let people help you.
Teach – Help some one learn something new.
Socialise – Relax, chat, eat, drink, and have fun in a comfortable environment.
Have fun – Self explanatory 🙂
If you would like to donate anything or become a member please join us at our next meeting.
If you have any questions feel free to send us a message.
